It´s time for presents, carols, decorations and Christmas songs! This nice Christmas song from Super Single Song is one of the best for my pupils. It is so cute! It tells us a story of a snowman brought to life by the beauty and magic of a snowflake.
It has lots of classroom benefits too. It is a lovely song for winter holidays. And since there is reference to some body parts (head, nose, hands) this song can be used to review parts of the body.

Instead of Father and Mother we can use more loving words:
Mother Mum, Mummy (BrE), Mom, Mommy (AmE); Father, Dad, Daddy. We can also say: Mama and Papa (especially in AmE)

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE GREEN? picture book
Every June 5th is a day used by the United Nations to stimulate awareness of protecting our planet. It is called World Environment Day and it began in 1972. It is a similar celebration to Earth Day which is held every April 22nd. Most of the activities for Earth Day in this blog are suitable for World Environment Day too. And I´ve found a nice storybook four young kids about protecting our planet. I hope you enjoy it.
