HAPPY SUMMER!

Hello, kids. It´s the end of the school year. I want to say good bye to my 2 year pupils who will go up to the 2nd cycle. It was a great pleasure to work with you during  2 years and I´m very proud of you. And to my 1 year pupils:

On the last week of May we celebrate the Eco friendly Week in our school. It is a week to think about our planet and what we can do to keep it clean . And recycling is a good way to get it. But do you know how to recycle? You can recycle with this virtual game. Put the items into the correct bins (plastic, glass or paper)  to collect points. I hope you enjoy it.

EARTH DAY SONG by Kiboomu

Earth Day is April 22nd each year and  World Environment Day is June 5th each year. Both are days to reflect on our planet, on our environment and what we can do to help keep them healthy. Children can understand the meaning of these dates by singing songs, playing games , colouring pictures, making crafts  and also watching videos , like this one by Kiboomu.

Hoy comparto con mis alumnos y todos los seguidores de este blog una gran alegría.  Este blog "English is fun", y el blog de inglés de 2º ciclo  "English is fun 2", han sido seleccionados entre los finalistas del VI Premio Espiral Edublogs 2012 dentro de la categoría de blogs de profesores y profesoras.

El premio Espiral Edublogs es un reconocimiento a blogs educativos o edublogs, considerando que éstos son aquellas publicaciones digitales, de acceso libre a través de internet, con contenidos textuales y/o multimedia con un marcado carácter pedagógico, didáctico o educativo.

Según consta en las bases de este premio, se valora "la importancia y repercusión de los blogs en la educación, como herramienta didáctica para el desarrollo de contenidos curriculares y motivación de los alumnos". Supone pues el reconocimiento del "trabajo de muchos profesores y profesoras en la red demostrando su utilidad pedagógica".

As every year in our school, all the students and teachers from the 2nd cycle have participated in the traditional "CHIRICUENTOS" to commemorate the Book Day. Ten stories have been performed, seven in the Spanish language, two in French and one in English. This is the english story Katia and Alicia (from 2B) have performed.
